Dana Saul
ABOUT
Dana Saul is a pianist and composer based in New York City. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Purchase College in 2013 where he studied with composer Du Yun and legendary jazz pianist Hal Galper. Saul moved to New York shortly thereafter to get involved with the city’s jazz scene and later earned a master’s degree in composition at Brooklyn College, where he studied with composer Jason Eckhardt and pianist-composer Arturo O’Farrill. His first album as a leader, Ceiling, is scheduled for release in September 2019 on Endectomorph Music. Saul has performed at New York City venues such as The Jazz Gallery, Smalls Jazz Club, Spectrum, Cornelia Street Cafe, Korzo, and Birdland Jazz Club.
